"[Rich] is one of my favorite professors from the many classes I have taken..."
"[Rich] made each class so fun and personal"
"If you want to learn philosophy from a true philosopher, Rich is your guy."
"I absolutely loved Professor Eva!!! He was so kind to all of his students and his class was structured really well. His class was just discussion based and the topics we talked about were so interesting and cool! You could tell he was really passionate about his students and the subject matter and that he really wanted us to learn and understand it. I couldn't recommend him to teach this class more and I recommend everyone to take it with him! I also love how there weren't any tests and instead debates because doing research for debates and getting to learn different viewpoints about different topics was so much more beneficial. I was able to engage with the material rather than memorize it!"
"Rich was always willing to meet outside of class when best for you and provided help on readings and materials. His coursework is extremely fun to work with and discuss in class. The way he changes the requirements or expectation based on the class and how it is doing as a whole is so helpful."
"Whatever stance the class would take on a subject, [Rich] always found a way to counter our beliefs in order to expand our thinking on that subject. We were challenged to think differently and critically of everything presented to us."
"I really enjoyed this class. There was a maintained relaxed and positive environment even when discussing difficult subjects. The instructor was very fun to listen to and always available to help and meet with students."
"[Rich] was very understanding and took the time to listen to everyone and what they had to say. He was very caring and kind when personal things came up and I’ve had to miss class. I wish I had more professors like him."

"This has been my favorite class at Baylor so far, and I think it has everything to do with Rich being the professor. He established such a healthy environment in the classroom so we could have important and controversial discussions about medical ethics issues without anyone being offended or mocked. And the content he chose for us to read was always so interesting. The workload was completely reasonable, and I actually looked forward to every assignment we were required to complete. I loved this class and this professor."
"[Rich] encouraged open discussions... that really made me think about different viewpoints and opened my eyes to new ideas."
"[Rich] is overall a great professor... he is not judgmental and he doesn't allow judgment"
